The DIA gives us...Fashion

The Detroit Institute of Arts finally has something I am DYING to see: an Avedon Exhibit.

Richard Avedon's work is legendary. The Bronx-born photographer was infamously known for his work in the fashion world and pop culture but he wasn't afraid to tackle provacative issues such as the Civil Rights Movement and the destruction of the Berlin Wall. He was the muse of the iconic Funny Face, ironically starring his own muse Audrey Hepburn. I can't wait to be inspired by this collection. Kudos to whoever was genius enough to bring this to fashions' deprived children of Detroit.
